Reconfirmation of the required handling capacity of TLCs’ of the core network;
Identification of bottlenecks of the core TLCs’ network;
Optimization of traffic flows;
Optimization of capacities of the TLCs;
Development of technical requirements on TLCs to be designed & engineered, as well as on parameters of technological equipment.
The following information is used as input data for modelling:
Topologies of the core network of TLCs and of the network of routes - for three types of transport & technological systems (the TTSs of container, contrailer and high-speed freight transportation);
Parameters of the rolling stock – volume and load capacities of wagons and trains;
Parameters of intermodal transport units - volume and load capacities of units;
Parameters of cargo – types of cargo, weight of a unit of cargo;
Individual loading / unloading standards per each TLC.
The following operations are carried out during the modelling:
Spatialization of models (spatial scaling with the usage of geo-referencing data and codes of stations to identify actual distances and exact dynamics of trains’ movements;
Calculations of schedules for each rout of each type of trains;
Time scaling (1 minute of model time corresponds to 1 day of real-time) and timing to match trains traffic schedules;
Online calculations of handling volumes (in loading units and in tonnes);
Dynamic visualization of movements and display of results at fixed model parameters.
